South Twin Mountain Summit Trail Guide

Located in Greene County New York in the Catskill Mountains, Twin Mountain is a pair of summits that make up one mountain. About one half mile apart and slightly northwest/southeast of each other, the southern summit sits at around 3,560ft while the northern summit is around 3,645ft. This guide focuses on the climb to South Twin Mountain via the Jimmy Dolan Notch Trail(Blue Markers) which has spectacular views of the Catskill Mountains.

After reaching South Twin you can continue on towards North Twin for approx 0.6mi further or finish here. While the view from North Twin is also nice, South Twin's view is more spectacular. Whatever your choice turn around and come back the way you came to the parking lot. Congrats on visiting Twin Mountain and seeing one of the best views in the Catskills!
